The Mark Music Shows continue to be incredible listening rooms with great music. Mark Music Show 3.4 with The Lost Cowgirl Revue was another special night of music. The Lost Cowgirl Revue is made up of Joy Zimmerman, Jenna Rae, Julie Bennette Hume, and Kristin Hamilton (of Under the Big Oak Tree). They played a mix of each of their own bands with beautiful harmonies. I've heard many of their songs before, but to hear them played together put a new spin on favorites to the songs to new places.

The Mark Music Shows are held at St. Mark Hope and Peace in Marshall Hall. Marshall Hall may not look fancy, but the acoustics in the space are to live for. The old story goes that when the space was designed the pastor had a daughter who sang opera and the space was built with music in mind. It's great to see this space used to host music in a listening room environment. There was a hunger for the music from the crowd. This was one of those nights you hoped the music would never end.

This show was part of a music series that is fundraiser for The Mark. Here's a little about The Mark via their facebook page: "The Mark Youth and Community Center (The Mark) was a dream of Reverend Donna Simon, Pastor of St. Mark Hope and Peace Lutheran Church, 3800 Troost, who recognized the need for area youth to have a safe and constructive environment after school. Rev. Donna envisioned renovating the 3,000 square foot basement of their 100-year-old church, into an inspiring, state-of-the-art space with music, educational, and personal development programs. In addition to youth programs, The Mark will be available for community use." The Mark Music Shows are helping raise money to renovate the space. The next show is on August 30 with The Charles Williams Trio.
