Five Years and Rising: A Celebration of Stand UP KC
Recently Stand Up KC celebrated it's five year anniversary. Stand Up KC is a part of the national Fight for Fifteen movement working to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and for union rights. Stand Up KC is made up of low wage workers in my occupations. In this celebration they celebrated workers, organizers, and allies in the movement. Of course there was also music. Making Movies - I Am Another You Experience
The line to get into the Knuckleheads Garage was about two blocks long for the sold out show, Making Movies - I Am Another You Experience. The line outside was buzzing with excited chatter for the show. Making Movies recently finished their Immigrants Are Beautiful tour.
