Havilah & Triple Play Album Release Show

On December 16, 2017 Havilah & Triple Play released their new album, Come Rain or Shine at the Black Dolphin. This album made I Love KC Music's top ten full length albums of 2017. Their release show was billed as a Christmas celebration as well. The Black Dolphin was full; when I walked in I saw a room full of people smiling and listening intently dressed in various holiday attire. The Black Dolphin is one of my favorite venues to listen to music-the golden amber glow of the stage contrasted with the moody dark seating area aglow with candle light. The setting paired wonderfully with the music. There was a warmth in the room as Havilah’s soulful voice as sweet honey and Triple Play’s jazz music filled the venue. The music of the night was songs from their new album interspersed with Christmas tunes.
